Each digital multiplex is broadcast on its own frequency, which can either be expressed as a frequency in MHz, or as a channel number. Either format could be used by your Freeview receiver or television: the chart is a conversion table between the two, as well as a guide to the aerial “groups” with their name, colour code and range.

Tip

Channel 69 (858 MHz) is not used for broadcasts in the UK, so try tuning any auxiliary equipment to this frequency on your television to be sure you don’t clash with any digital multiplexes or analogue television channels.
